Whistler-Blackcomb is one of the world’s premier playgrounds located about 1 1/2 hours from Vancouver via the breathtakingly beautiful Sea-to-Sky highway. The area has been rated North America’s best ski resort over and over again because of its unparalleled powder snow, sheer outdoor beauty and more than 3,000 hectares of terrain with 200+ trails.

Whistler was already a major skiing destination, but that was further boosted when it hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 2010 and vast resources was spent on infrastructure, accommodation, the food scene, etc. No surprise that Whistler is top on any snow aficionado’s wish list.

If snow is just too wet and cold for you, do not despair. In the summer season, Whistler transforms itself into a heaven for mountain bikers, hikers, golfers, adrenalin junkies and all of us who enjoy a stunning mountain backdrop.

It’s hard to find a better place to truly live life to the fullest, not at least because after a day enjoying the great outdoors, the village offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. All fueled by Canadian efficiency and friendliness.

The vacation home will be in the Whistler/Blackcomb area, as close as possible to the central village and ski runs.

The 21-5 owner association will purchase a home with minimum three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It will not be a unit in a resort development, but an individual home with its own charm and character.

We will only consider freehold properties. Co-ops will not be considered due to their historically versatile market appreciation because of their more strict mortgage requirements.

Pre-sales are also in our scope, as these often offer good value, but the estimated completion will have to correspond with our internal goals, that is 12-18 months from the inaugural general meeting and until all five vacation properties are ready to be enjoyed by their owners.

The type of dwelling can be both a detached home, 1/2 duplex, a townhouse or a condo, as long as it lives up to the overall criteria described above.
